Meet Dr. Thomas

Dr. Thomas received her B.S. in Biology from Baylor University and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Dental Branch.  Due to her interest in treating medically compromised individuals and those with special needs, Dr. Thomas completed a General Practice Residency from the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston and Memorial Hermann Hospital in 2005. After practicing general dentistry in Los Angeles, California for over a year, she entered the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program, where she earned her Specialty Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry in 2009.

 

Dr. Thomas is a recipient of the prestigious Richard C.  Pugh Achievement Award for outstanding performance on the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry Examination, placing her in the top 3% of all candidates in 2009. She was also appointed as faculty in the UCLA Section of Pediatric Dentistry where she supervised and taught dental students both clinically and in the laboratory.

 

Dr. Thomas is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Enteral Conscious Sedation.

 

Dr. Thomas brings a warm, friendly approach and a gentle touch. She is dedicated to providing children with high quality dentistry in a fun, comfortable environment while easing the anxiety of both children and parents alike. Her special interests include infant oral health, cosmetic dentistry, and patients with special needs.
